AFTER (Self Portrait)

The finished piece. I used watercolor pencils, then acrylic paints to create the image. It has been cut out and layered onto a canvas panel that was painted and collaged. Two vintage buttons and a whimsical wire with beads from my grandmother's old jewelry creates a fun way to hang this self-portrait from my 4th grade school picture.

I see you also love to do "heads." I admire your bravery for posting the finished product with the photograph of the subject. My portraits are generally well recieved, until I show the original photo, then it's "All Quiet on the Artistic Front." lol Keep it up, I hear from others that it only gets better with practice.
